Yuriy Gusev

Hello!

I'll help you master the pieces you love — and enjoy the process! I teach in a comfortable studio and worldwide.

We start with a free 25-minute consultation on Zoom or by phone. You can play something for me, tell me more about your goals and situation, and we'll agree on how to move forward.

— What I can help with:

Setting up correct hand position from scratch
Developing piano technique at any level
Playing in different styles (classical, rock, jazz, pop, and more)
Music notation and sight-reading
Music theory and solfège (ear training)
Exam preparation and help with music school studies
A deeper understanding of music for those who want it

I work both with complete beginners learning for their own enjoyment and with students who need professional-level training. An individual approach to every student. I teach in person at my studio and online.

— Adults

Learning with the music you like, at your own pace. No pressure, no judgment. Support in reaching your goals.

— Children and teens

Learning through play, imagination, and associations. Age-appropriate lessons. Developing thinking skills through music. A space for free self-expression, without criticism.

— Experience

I've been teaching piano in my own studio and performing for over 10 years. I regularly pursue professional development as both a teacher and a pianist. Diploma winner at the Romantic Music Competition "Traditions of the Ippolitov Performing School" (2018).

— Format

In person at my studio near Akademicheskaya metro station in Moscow, and online. Online lessons are just as effective as in-person ones, thanks to detailed, clear demonstrations and explanations, vivid imagery, and professional equipment.
